Animal Control By-Laws
JUNE 2011 - By-Law 37-11 was passed that requires dogs to be leashed at all times when off the property of the owner. Leash Information
By-Law No. 13-12 - establishes a system for licensing dogs and kennels in the Municipality of North Grenville.
By-Law No. 37-11 - for the keeping of animals and regulating dogs running at large.
The Municipality does not licence or regulate cats.
Dog and Kennel Licencing
"No person shall own a dog or establish a kennel without first obtaining a licence." A dog tag will be issued with a licence and must be securely attached to the dog.
You must apply to the By-Law Enforcement Officer to obtain a kennel licence since an inspection and verification of zoning compliance is required before the licence may be issued.
