The Volunteer Centre of St Lawrence-Rideau, serving Leeds and Grenville, is situated
on traditional Territorial Lands. With gratitude and respect, we acknowledge the

We have a responsibility for the stewardship of the land on which we live and work.
This land has always been a place of community, harmony and learning and we are
thankful to continue those strong traditions.
What defines a Volunteer Centre?
The definition of a volunteer centre was adopted by Volunteer Canada in 2001, the International Year of the Volunteer.
Volunteer Centres exist primarily to foster and develop volunteerism in the community.
In general, they do 4 things:
