The Tip to Tip Trail is an easy walk along the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Rideau Canal with an in and out trip length of just over four kilometres, taking about one hour to complete. 

Numbered trail markers along the path highlight features along the trail that were either influenced by, or important in, the construction of the Rideau Canal. Text for these markers are found on the trail map.

Visit the historic Burritts Rapids Lockstation and the heritage hamlet of Burritts Rapids. This recreational trail is mostly flat with minimal incline and is primarily used for hiking, walking, sight seeing, and birding. There is limited camping nearby at the Burritt's Rapids Lockstation administered by Parks Canada.

Highlights include: the Lockstation, the nearby Boathouse Café (pets allowed on patio), a working swing bridge, the beautiful hamlet, views of horse farms, wildlife, a working dam, and the stunning views of the Rideau.  Also nearby, the Rideau Woodland Ramble public gardens and trails. 

Note: Parking is available at the lockstation on the west end of the trail off of River Road.
