New partnership expands Ottawa-born initiative to support local tree planting and a greener future for North Grenville
The Municipality of North Grenville and Canada’s Forest Trust Corporation (CFTC) are joining forces to grow and protect North Grenville’s tree canopy through the launch of Let’s get growing! North Grenville.
First launched in Ottawa, Let’s get growing! is expanding to North Grenville, bringing together businesses, community leaders and residents to help generate new support for local tree planting and create a greener, more resilient community for generations to come.
Through the partnership, CFTC will work alongside the Municipality to engage the local business community and create new opportunities for organizations and individuals to contribute directly to tree planting in North Grenville.

Through Let’s get growing! North Grenville, participating businesses will be able to connect their contributions directly to local impact while using CFTC’s technology to track and communicate the results of their support.
Funds generated through the program will support tree planting within the Municipality of North Grenville, helping expand and strengthen the community’s tree canopy.
Trees and urban forests provide important benefits to growing communities. They help improve air quality, manage stormwater, store carbon, provide shade and cooling, support biodiversity and wildlife habitat, and contribute to healthier, more resilient neighbourhoods.
The expansion of Let’s get growing! from Ottawa to North Grenville demonstrates the potential for municipalities, businesses and residents to work together to create new sources of support for local nature.
