This long-awaited expansion and improvement promises to significantly enhance traffic flow, safety, and pedestrian/active transport access along this key corridor.
Please be advised of the closure of James Street at County Road 43 beginning Monday, April 21 until Thursday, April 24, 2025. Access to Ultramar Gas Station will be maintained.
North Grenville, ON – The Municipality of North Grenville is pleased to invite applications for the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Fund, initiated by the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee, for the second consecutive year. Please note: Goldie Mohr is currently commencing with construction activities which include vegetation removal and relocation of the fence adjacent to the Settler's Trail and County Road 44. The overall works are part of the County Road 44 Multi-Use Pathway extension from Settler’s Trail to River Road. This project is expected to last throughout the summer.
Water levels and flows across the Rideau Valley Watershed remain elevated following a recent significant precipitation event, with additional mixed precipitation in the forecast for the coming days. As a result, a Flood Watch remains in effect for the Rideau River from Smiths Falls to Manotick (Long Reach), as well as for Bobs Lake and Christie Lake in the Upper Watershed. Reservoirs in the Upper Watershed have limited remaining capacity, increasing the risk of localized flooding in low-lying areas.
