As part of a system-wide water main flushing program, the Municipality of North Grenville will be cleaning water mains in the Town of Kemptville. Flushing water mains is necessary to remove sediment and iron that gradually deposit in the pipes. Cleaning will take place from Mon - Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in some areas.
The Municipality of North Grenville is updating the 2019 Transportation Master Plan (TMP) and the 2019 Commuter Cycling Plan (CCP). This updated document, being referred to as the Mobility Master Plan (MMP), is being developed to:
- Direct municipal policy and infrastructure investments over the next 10-20 years;
- Support growth and development to achieve broader community connectivity goals;
- Provide safe, comfortable and connected active mobility options and integrated choices; and
- Identify opportunities for enhanced sustainable practices and processes to support implementation.
NOTICE: Construction work to connect underground services will take place on Ryan’s Well Drive on Wednesday, May 20th and Thursday, May 21st, 2026. Work will occur from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during which traffic will be reduced to single-lane alternating. Certified traffic control personnel will be on site at all times, and the road will reopen at the end of each workday.
PLEASE NOTE: The North Grenville Municipal Offices will be closed on Monday, May 18th, 2026 and will reopen on Tuesday, May 19th at 8:30 am. There is no waste collection on Monday, May 18th - garbage/recycling/organics will be delayed one day this week. Please see waste collection schedule here. North Grenville, ON – The Municipality of North Grenville is now receiving applications for the Mental Health Initiatives Fund (MHIF). This funding program is designed to help local organizations bring meaningful mental health initiatives and access to mental health training to community members. Mental health is foundational to both personal and community well-being. Through the MHIF, the Municipality is investing in local ideas that help reduce stigma, strengthen community connections, improve access to support services, and foster long-term wellness for residents of all ages.
North Grenville fire officials have assessed outdoor conditions throughout the municipality and are advising that the burn ban will be lifted effective Wednesday, May 6, 2026 for the entire Municipality of North Grenville.
