North Grenville Launches Mobility Master Plan Survey

North Grenville, ON – The Municipality of North Grenville is bringing its transportation planning together into one clear, comprehensive vision for the future.

The new Mobility Master Plan (MMP) will integrate the recommendations of a newly established Active Transportation Plan currently being developed that considers the establishment of more sidewalks, multi-use pathways, trails, and other forms of connectivity alongside a renewal of the 2019 Transportation Master Plan and Commuter Cycling Plan (CCP). Fundamentally, it will guide how people move around the community as it grows.

The Mobility Master Plan will have a new focus on safe, accessible, and sustainable transportation options for everyone; whether walking, cycling, driving, or using transit. Using an equitable, environmentally responsible, and sustainable approach, the plan will help ensure North Grenville’s transportation network continues to meet the needs of residents and businesses now and into the future.

The MMP supports key Strategic Plan priorities by improving and expanding transportation choices, supporting the movement of goods and services, and strengthening active connections between neighbourhoods, businesses, and community spaces.

“This Council has been clear about the importance of active transportation in supporting both quality of life and long-term sustainability in North Grenville,” said Mayor Nancy Peckford. “This plan represents the next step in that work - helping us build a more connected community while making thoughtful, forward-looking investments that support safe and accessible mobility for everyone.”
