NORTH GRENVILLE, ON - Several months after the announcement of a provincial correctional facility on the site of the old Kemptville College lands, Council has been able to achieve more clarity on some key items that have been of significant concern to the community.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has retained AECOM Canada Ltd. to complete the detailed design for the four-lane widening of County Road 43 from 200 metres west of County Road 44 to 220 metres east of Colonnade Drive, in Kemptville, Ontario.
NORTH GRENVILLE, ON - Mayor Nancy Peckford issued the following statement on the proposed provincial Correctional Facility for North Grenville. A version of these remarks were shared at the March 23 Council Meeting.
When I ran for Mayor, I had a clear vision for our community. Two things were not part of that vision: a global pandemic and a new correctional facility.
NORTH GRENVILLE, ON – Mayor Nancy Peckford issued the following statement on the new provincial correctional facility to be built in Kemptville:
On August 27, Premier Ford, alongside Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, and Steve Clark, MPP for Leeds, Grenville, Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, announced plans to build a new Greater Ottawa Correctional Complex in Kemptville, and further invest in Ontario’s correctional system.
The Municipality of North Grenville is pleased to announce that the Provincial Government has approved a joint funding application submitted by the Municipality and the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville to support crucial upgrades to County Road 43.
